When the path breaks into a brook of water, swim or leap over it, then continue following the path. Jump from the ledge and continue the path you were originally following. Approach her and she will fly away again, directing you to somewhere else. When you reach the end of you path, jump onto the ledge the Spirit is on. The path will become stone, and a sharp turn will be in your way. ![]() When you near the boulder, break off the path and climb up the snow. Cross the small brook and follow the path to the boulder. ![]() The Spirit will awaken, and fly away, directing you to a large boulder. From here, swim to your right until you come onto land. You screen will show you another part of the area, and will reveal her flying in the air until she gently perches on a pile of stones. She will awaken, you fox will excite, and then she leaps of the ledge. This is the Guardian of the Northern Lights, and this is where you journey begins! Approach her and click O. When you pass the chimes, the screen will show you a sleeping fox-spirit. These are checkpoints, and you will see many of them throughout the game. On the way, you will pass under overhanging chimes. Follow the path until you find yourself in a wide cavern. This will reawaken the Shaman Spirit, the Shaman will disintegrate after thanking you, and the path will be opened. When you’re are beside the Shaman, click O again to drop the rod. You will notice the closer you get to the Shaman, the crystal on the light begins to glow. When you near it click O (PS4) to retrieve it. Following it, you will find yourself in a small cavern. The right side is blocked by rocks, and lying in front of it is a skeleton with a robe. As you enter the cave, continue to follow the path. You are encouraged to head towards the cave. If you look closely enough, you will see a cave in the distance. After you do this,another cutscene will arrive, showing you a beautiful, snowy landscape. After a few moments of watching the cutscene, you will be encouraged to walk towards a hill and stand beside a pile of rocks. The Ted Fox, (you) is running through the snow, following a red trail in the sky. Improvement - After healing spirit fox in Chapter 7 large stone gate opens, (players can no longer open it and go through without healing spirit fox).When you enter the game for the first time, you will be met with a cutscene. Some clunky platforming, the odd muddy texture and a stirring but repetitive score only slightly hinder the experience. Gorgeous visual design and simple yet satisfying gameplay propel subtle, emotive storytelling through a well-paced three hours. Improvement - Checkboxes in the menu should now be easier to see. Spirit of the North is just the sort of indie game I love. Playlists offer more variety throughout the whole game. Improvement - Music selected in each Chapter now appropriately fits the mood. Improvement - Fox Stamina : You can now run as long as you want without having to slow down.
